ABOUT SHANNON
HELLO THERE!
My name is Shannon Bretz! I am a North Jersey based actor, singer, and performer.
As an artist, I have been performing in and around the New York/ New Jersey area working on plays, musicals, cabarets, and professional improv! I love to be collaborative, playful, and I am very passionate about diversity and inclusion in the arts. As a plus sized performer, it is so important to me to help cultivate spaces for bodies of all shapes, sizes and colors within the arts. Humanity is colorful and beautiful, so why not let our art reflect that?
Outside of the theatre, I work as a photographer’s assistant and part time in a law office! I enjoy spending time with my black lab puppy, going thrifting, traveling, and watching “West Wing” reruns. My favorite musical genre is country, but if you pass me the aux I will probably put on Kendrick or Doechii! I am an amateur bartender and barista, so whether it be day or night, I can recommend you the perfect drink!
